PROJECT ENGINEER

In partnership with Vortex Systems, based in Enfield, CT, Wynne Hires is interviewing immediately for a Project Engineer to create, maintain, and communicate project schedules for the design, build, and installation of fuel, air, and hydraulic test systems, used across the US and internationally.

The Project Engineer manages the scheduling and timeline of company projects by overseeing all aspects of simultaneous projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and communicating weekly progress of projects. The successful Project Engineer will coordinate with external vendors, customers, and internal employees to ensure deliverables fall within timeline, scope, and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and outside vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manage changes to the project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Communicate and escalate project tasks to respective department stakeholders based on timing, obstacles, and responsibilities.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Create and maintain project documentation – Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps.
  • Support new business proposal activity.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and third-party stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of three (3) years in an electromechanical environment.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW and SOLIDWORKS highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001
  • Must be a US Citizen to comply with ITAR requirements.
  • Experience and ability to develop relationships and work cross functionally.

Total Rewards & Culture Fit:

  • Base salary of $75,000 – $100,000
  • Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday – Friday; Travel – 15% after fully trained
  • Benefits: Company pays 50% of health & dental insurance premiums. Retirement: Simple IRA w/3% match.
