Senior Payroll and HRIS Specialist
As a Senior Payroll professional, and integral part of the Connecticut based HR team, this role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, HRIS data analytics, tax compliance, and cost center reporting for 1000+ employees located across the US and internationally.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll including bonus and commission payouts, final wage payments and severance when applicable.
- Reviews timesheets and attendance records and corrects inaccuracies.
- Responsible for month, quarter, and year-end processes.
- Performs audits, prepares compliance reporting, assists in tax-filing and other reconciliation and reporting procedures.
- Maintains data integrity through regular audits of both payroll and HRIS databases including tracking, monitoring, and adjusting employee data resulting from changes in employee status.
- Creates, generates, and maintains all reporting from payroll and HRIS database including performing statistical analysis and running queries for reports.
- Collects data and submits all compliance reports including EEO-1, Vets-100 and any state and local requirements.
- Sets-up annual merit review parameters in ADP compensation dashboard.
- Assists with generating benefit census data and other benefit data for compliance reporting.
- Assesses, designs, recommends, and implements procedures to streamline and document the payroll process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred. Will consider relative work experience and professional development.
- Five to seven years of multi-state and international payroll and HRIS experience performing hands-on daily tasks.
- Professional certifications (CEBS, CPP, or PHR) desired but not required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with agility to prioritize and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Advanced hands-ok knowledge of ADP Workforce and Workday.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience documenting processes and analyzing HRIS and HR metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
